Meanwhile on RoC (they said excitedly)
We put out episode two of this season’s run and Holy Amazing Events that was epic! Everything about this weekend was proper top notch with nothing bad to take away from it whatsoever: Definitely stuff that we can use to make the events even better but nothing negative that we can think of. As we write this our Discord channel is full of people that were at the weekend and those that weren’t recounting stories, discussing plot and thinking about what to do with their kit. There isn’t a better feeling than this as writers, makers and storytellers after a hard sequence of weeks before an event.

The Skit Crew, DPC Team and Scene teams were all AMAZING: We wanted continuous IC and we got it, we wanted amazingly terrifying creatures and we got them, we wanted in depth plot and powerful DPC’s and we got all of that too. It really feels amazing to see the new style system progress through all of these points but also to be being able to feed all of the crew and players on the ticket AND to provide tents, beds, sleeping bags and everything else that the crew might need. Sleeping everyone IC feels like a real achievement for the system given that seemed like an impossibility in the pre-covid times.

The players were tremendous picking up system plot and developing their own as well as being utterly ridiculous at times and sharing so much of themselves with each other. It was a massively happy and excited atmosphere full of keen and froth which was only furthered by the kit and special effects that we all brought with us. Being outside with all of the absolutely amazing people that make this system such a happy place has been the highlight of the year so far we think and we can’t to do it all again! So much is the positive and the keen that people were actually asking if we could do another day!

As to the next event….We will be looking at an Audience Style event for September which means, Halls, banqueting and Skits galore. In the meantime be prepared for focus on more game streamlining, post event updates, Patreon developments, Legends of Larp, new projects and lots of photos. The KEEN is high!

Remember if you want to get involved, tell stories, play games, run games or whatever we are continuing to build that community and you can find us here and that goes doubly for anything you need for the LARP or just for company on long locked in days. Equally If you want to join us on Patreon we are here.

As ever folks: If you need us, for any reason, let us know and if we can help in any way we will, whatever you are up against.
In the meantime have a Foxes and Crows week people, we look forward to seeing a whole bunch of you at the online game and bumping into even more of you, online, between now and then.
Take Care of Each Other
Much Love,
Stephen and the RoC Core Team x
