Good Day The World!

Once more we present The RoC Monday Morning Message which we hope finds you in the finest of form, fetlock and fettle. Last week was another positive week which we hope you shared and we are keen to get into the meat and drink of our progress once again! Before we do we’ll throw out our usual support in the form of:
To the emergency services that are out there looking after us and still fighting the pandemic and all that comes with it… You have our deepest respect and love and so, those frontline ambulance service folk still receive free games and priority bookings for any and all events. Much love and respect to you.
So! We have much to discuss!
We are throwing out our first Cthulhu based horror larp in years. Every horror event that we have run has been tremendously well received and the keen to run this one is super high. We sold half the tickets before the game went up so that’s a good sign – We are looking for a few more crew, preferably local who will get the full RoC awesome roles, food, bed and board and shining stars, and the last of the players.
Stephen is writing this one, he has literally won medals for his Cthonian and horror storytelling. We cannot recommend it enough.
Tickets for the Hallowe’en Spectacular – Discordant Symphony – here!
Make sure you mail us if you are a first timer or spending your shining stars.

What else can we tell you?
We agreed dates last week for the end of the year and we’ll be making those public this week. Given that we are still building for the new site we won’t be taking payments for events immediately until the site paperwork has completely gone through but we will be giving you the weekends that the games will be run on. The Forts are in the pipeline and we are definitely doing a hall event.
Kit Fayre
Yep – We have the go ahead with a site and we will be kicking off the plans for a South Coast Kit Fayre in late Jan/Early Feb next year. We have a couple of traders already on board already and we’re looking for more so if you fancy a stand let us know via the usual channels. This and other dates will be announced in the coming days!
Apps

Last week we promised you a quick word on apps – So the system is moving in the direction of providing tablets to folk with specific apps that handle some of the game management and access to Lore and knowledge. That might not sound ideal for a High Fantasy based game but ROC runs heavily around steampunkesque tech and magic. The tablets in question have already been playtested and received loads of praise for the surrounds that have been made for them keeping them 100% IC.
The apps currently run the crafting side of the game; acting as design tools and allowing players to access lore and other related materials without seeming innocuous. ROC has always worked to bring current tech into the game. Launching and running the LARPtronics program springs to mind. Talking chessboards, knock knock boxes and the like will all be making a welcome return to the game in our 25th anniversary year.
So that’s us for this week – Lots to be getting on with.
In the meantime, if you want to get involved, tell stories, play games, run games or whatever we are continuing to build that community and you can find us here and that goes doubly for anything you need for the LARP or just for company on long days. Equally, If you want to join us on Patreon we are here.
As ever folks: If you need us, for any reason, let us know and if we can help in any way we will, whatever you are up against.
In the meantime have a Foxes and Crows week people, we look forward to seeing a whole bunch of you at the online game and bumping into even more of you, online, between now and then.
Take Care of Each Other
Much Love,
Stephen and the RoC Core Team
