Hello there wonderfolk of the world,

Welcome to the Monday Message which we hope finds you in fine form, fetlock and fettle and that you have had the best week that you could wherever you were and whatever you were doing.  It’s been another massive, massive week here at RoC as we made huge strides in the direction of getting the new game up and running and furthering the community projects that we have initiated and become a part of.

Before we get into that we’re still pushing those thanks out to all of the folk who have been out there saving lives, not just in the pandemic but across the board day in day out. We’re going to keep offering those gratis games and priority bookings to them from an RoC point of view and furthering our community goals to support them where we can. Our first bout of mental health first aid training is planned for next month for core teamers but we’ll then be offering more courses to all and sundry! Meanwhile.

On ROC

The big workloads on plot releases and game updates are dropping this week and the rebuilds are flashing past at speed now. Our main efforts however were focussed on the new sites and forever homes for the Rising of Chaos and other forthcoming games and after a lot of wandering around the countryside we have agreed the first of the Hampshire Sites with another couple to look at as we kick of number one of our goal of at least two private sites for the game.

Locations and details will be posted up, along with our first dates, pretty soon but discussions with the owners took us in some pretty exciting directions that we did not at all see coming. So in the meantime we can tell you that it is in the New Forest and we will have parking for around 30 cars, the excitement of toilets, fire pits, and bamboo forests are among the many adventures that await us. Here are some pics that the team we dispatched to investigate took of the site to whet your appetite!

Communitywise

We have filled the last of our Core Team Roles and continue to swell the ranks of the groups that support them – Anyone out there that wants to be on any of the teams feel free to join us on Discord here or e-mail us info@risingofchaos.com

We have had stories told to us by Gary: Grand tales that took us to the Wedding of Thor as he sought to politely recover his stolen hammer, of The King of Herrings and how he came to the aid of a man with a horse and of the first entry in a traditional Welsh saga featuring the relationship of a noble man of the mortal realms and a lord of the Fae houses forging and uneasy alliance.

We have launched a new tabletop in the “The Seven” in which the players have awoken in strange bodies, stranded on a ship on an unknown sea. No memory of who they were remain but some form of arcane power dwells within them although they are not skilled in its use or knowledge. Meanwhile Cthulhu and Rifts carry on and Kids on Brooms announces a new game date.

Remember if you want to get involved, tell stories, play games, run games or whatever we are continuing to build that community and you can find us here and that goes doubly for anything you need for the LARP or just for company on long locked in days. Equally If you want to join us on Patreon we are here.

As ever folks: If you need us, for any reason, let us know and if we can help in any way we will, whatever you are up against.

In the meantime have a Foxes and Crows20 week people, we look forward to seeing a whole bunch of you at the online game and bumping into even more of you, online, between now and then.

Take Care of Each Other

Much Love,

Stephen and the RoC Core Team x
