Good Morning Amazing People of the World,

We hope that this message finds you in fine form, fetlock and fettle and that you had an excellent weekend wherever you were (hopefully at home) and whatever you were doing.

First off we’d like to throw our love and any support that we can, on top of our thanks, to all of the emergency services peeps and key workers who are battling to keep us alive and well.

Equally to all of you listening to and following the advice, staying at home, wearing your masks and generally being sensible. Well done and thank you.

These last two weeks have been epic for RoC: Last year we promised you that we would release the new system and really up our game in 2021. So we did.

The RoC version 12 release has completed phase one which covers Mechanics, Character Creation, Tier One Skills and the Basanic Overview pages. Our next phase is to update with the next tiers and begin Character Conversion for players coming over from versions 10 and 11. That process will begin on Monday the 1st of February and we will begin to release guidelines for what to expect and how to approach the system to achieve that conversion from Monday the 25th of January.

As you can see the website has been completely revamped and it is from here that we will be providing updates and then posting them across our social media platforms to bring you up to date. Beyond the Website our Discord Server continues as our main point of contact with our growing community. We encourage you to join the Discord server and take part in all aspects of RoC that are happening there.

The online game kicked off last Saturday and that was epic! It felt a little unusual at first to be getting into kit and sorting out scenery and props at home but it worked REALLY well and we are super proud of how well it has all gone. We are aiming for really good production values with feedback telling us we are getting that right. There are still a small number of spaces left for the game if you want to join in but doors close on Sunday the 31st of January for The Recreant Voice.

The Formula D Test Setup – Not Pictured: Holly’s webcam balanced precariously on a tripod and two tables.

The Core Team has also stepped up the online fun with our community pages and games, last Sunday we ran a Game of Formula D live on Discord and that really brought people together. It worked so well that we will be running a Formula D league and kicking out prizes for our best placed Drivers. Details for this and various other games that we will be running will appear on the website this week and we’ll kick those off asap.

A lot of the things that we are doing we are providing because we know that lockdown sucks but some things like the online game are paid for events. You can support the system’s ongoing efforts here:

So that’s us!

As ever folks: If you need us let us know and if we can help in any way we will, whatever you are up against.

In the meantime have a Foxes and Crows week people, we look forward to seeing a whole bunch of you at the online game and bumping into even more of you, online, between now and then.

Take Care of Each Other

Much Love

Stephen & Team RoC x
