Hello great and excellent heroic folk of the world!

It’s been another week and the world is opening up a little more and hopefully this message finds you in fine form, fetlock and fettle and that you have had an excellent week wherever you were and whatever you were doing. If you were out there frontlining against the virus or serving the community in general you have our thanks and whatever we can do to help you out we will. The rest of us will keep doing what we can and stick to the rules as they come out but yeah:
You can mingle outside, enjoy pubs safely again – Contact is important, it’s good to start easing the lockdown blues and seeing each other again. As ever we emphasise the fact that we need to keep being careful, new and exciting strains are everywhere and a lot of folks are still waiting for their vaccines. As ever people: Keep it sensible, keep it safe.
Meanwhile on RoC and the Community!
It was a quiet week in the main for us, with the first quarter over we are finishing reviews and write ups and still prepping the next games and activities that we will be engaging with later this month and then for the foreseeable future. Nonetheless let’s take a look at what we have been up to in the meantime!
RoCwise we have continued rebuilding of the characters as we marry them into the new system, that goes really well with three more down last week and we’ll try and get some testimonials out so that you know what to expect.
We also completed the first run through of the quarterly games document with the story and character team and the first draft of the online game season one write up. Players from Online Game season One should have received messages and be ready to move forward with their actions. So basically a LOT of behind the scenes going on for you today as we get ready for May.

Legends of LARP

Finally we had our first preparatory interview with the “The Legends of LARP” or the “Grey Old Ones” as they seem to prefer, so we can now announce the Following: Over the next few weeks and months RoC will be welcoming some of the first producers of Live Action Roleplaying in the UK through the doors. We’ll be interviewing the likes of Mark Cordory, Phil Gregory, Simon Medlock, Alex Armstrong, Dave Oliver and Mark Roberts, talking about what it was like in the 80’s and recording all of their unique experiences for posterity.
Full details on that as it emerges!
This weekend we have our April Patreon meeting so if you want to come along and get system and community insights it would be lovely to see you. We’ll make a full announcement via the Patreon this week.
The Discord offices are open all day so if you want to come in Monday to Friday just for company or to chat LARPing, board games and the like we’re in voice most of the time. The RPG’s, video games and so forth are on a lot: We are here to give you some level of company if you need it.
Remember if you want to get involved, tell stories, play games, run games or whatever we are continuing to build that community and you can find us here and that goes doubly for anything you need for the LARP or just for company on long locked in days. Equally If you want to join us on Patreon we are here.
As ever folks: If you need us, for any reason, let us know and if we can help in any way we will, whatever you are up against.
In the meantime have a Foxes and Crows week people, we look forward to seeing a whole bunch of you at the online game and bumping into even more of you, online, between now and then.
Take Care of Each Other
Much Love,
Stephen and the RoC Core Team x
