Good Morning lovely folk of the LARPing world,
It’s a bright looking day outside my window and I can only hope that this message finds you in fine form, fetlock and fettle and that you, too, had the best week that you could wherever you were and whatever you were doing. Loathe as I am to do it I will reiterate what I said last week: “It is just getting tougher outside the window and the hopes of post lockdown larping life are tarnished with the brutality of happenings in the world that seem to be beyond our control. We keep working hard here to bring people together, provide support on all platforms and somewhere that we can build for better days.”
Huge thanks continue to roll out to the skilled workers that are doing everything that they can to keep us well during the virus times. RoC continues to offer the online RoC game for you and we have new stuff popping up in April at a huge reduction in price.
With all of that said let’s take a look at last week on RoC!
It was a quieter week all around after the excitement of Tales from the Deck and our Afternoon with Mark Cordory. The Core Team took some time to talk about how to further the plot and keep the online game going after this round has ended. This spilled over into our Patreon meeting, with lots of excellent ideas coming in from every angle – lots to think about there, and more news to follow! Thank you to everyone who attended, it was great to have you along.

We have some incredible art work coming in from our hugely talented artistic friends to go alongside a lot of the new website content we’re building to showcase your incredible skills! If you would like to flex your artistic muscles for RoC, please do get in touch with us and we can chat commissions. This picture is for the Beast Speaker page, by the wonderful Kit Brutnell.
Cthulhu ran on Monday, with a number of very scared players and one who is committing large amounts of fraud by pretending to be a member of the nobility when he is most definitely not! Much fun was had by all, and we are really looking forward to getting stuck in to the next session. Although, maybe with more lights on, this time!
We also completed the next rebuild in the list, and we are so excited by all the amazing custom wound and backlash cards which are being created from your characters’ experiences. We would definitely suggest signing up to be put on the respend list, it’s a great chance to wax lyrical about the amazing things your characters have done if nothing else. Some of the new Finesse Paths that are being created are also wicked bad. Email characters@risingofchaos.com to get involved.
This week, we have had word from Gary that his excellent Tales from the Deck will return for Patreons on Friday 16th April. Gary will be giving us tales about the founding of Britain, the defeat of Gogmagog, the exploits of two brothers as they leave their home, and those of a seventh son of a seventh some with the great horse Dapplegrim.

Formula D returned with a vengeance on Sunday, with a really tight race between five of our competitors. You’ll be able to read more about that on our Formula D page shortly. Next week may well be the culmination of almost 2 months of board gaming, and it’s still all to play for!
Again, we are still looking at doing actual LARPing, should it be allowed, this year. We have an intentions form here – so please do fill it out and let us know what, broadly speaking, you think you would like to see from us as we build live events once again. Again, our thanks go out to everyone who has already filled it out, and for the amazing words of encouragement you’ve given us. We are really bolstered by your commitment to seeing RoC back out in the field.
The Discord offices are open all day so if you want to come in Monday to Friday just for company or to chat LARPing, board games and the like we’re in voice most of the time. The RPG’s, video games and so forth are on a lot: We are here to give you some level of company if you need it.
Remember if you want to get involved, tell stories, play games, run games or whatever we are continuing to build that community and you can find us here and that goes doubly for anything you need for the LARP or just for company on long locked in days. Equally, if you want to join us on Patreon we are here.
As ever folks: If you need us, for any reason, let us know and if we can help in any way we will, whatever you are up against.
In the meantime have a Foxes and Crows week people, we look forward to seeing a whole bunch of you at the online game and bumping into even more of you, online, between now and then.
Take Care of Each Other
Much Love,
Stephen and the RoC Core Team x
