Greetings Wonderfolk of the World,
Today we will surprise you by saying that we hope that this message finds you in fine form, fetlock and fettle and that you had the best week that you could wherever you were and whatever you were doing. Another tough week in the real world with Covid cases rising again and once more, as we always will, our thanks to the frontliners that are out there keeping us going in whatever form of emergency service that you are representing and our commitment to free games and priority bookings continues for you.
So: Welcome on board to EVEN more new people, we are super keen to see more of you at the weekend! Here at RoC we have had a busy, busy week indeed which and as ever we are here to keep you up to date with what we have been doing.
We have taken a look at another site which needs a lot of work and could have trouble with parking and we have another one to look at soon. However we have had some interest from several other parties that are keen to grow the community and help us build a positive society around us and are in a position to start looking at bigger sites. We promise to keep you up to date with any and all announcements.
The next event has booked out and we will be looking at getting the next event worked out as soon as this one is finished. As ever we will be checking with the Covid situation and the Sites before we go ahead: Haphazard we know but it seems to be working out ok.
Only a week to go but we have had additional people looking to book onto the game: We have capped our players so if you want you can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to be put on the waiting list which will exist as of this post. If you have already contacted us never fear your names will be the first onto the list. Drop Outs are unlikely but we will contact you if a space comes up!
We have filled our minimum and stretch goal one crew slots and we currently have two crew places available for the event. Crewing earns you Shining Stars, food for the weekend, cool roles and equally you don’t need to bring any beds and tents: ROC provides crew tents, beds and sleeping bags along with everything else.
The weekend was also spent making a whole bunch of new kit to wow and impress all the players and the crew. Here are some of our amazing folks doing the do and making the amazing bits and pieces that will make the event truly awesome!
E-Mails and Pre-Event
We have already sent out an e-mail to the attendees for the event regarding timings, meals and the like and we will be furthering that with our full Covid guidelines and final camping arrangements!
The community continues to grow daily and we are here to support all of you to the best of our availability. We have a few extra slots for counselling which is provided by the system and we are sending out some food to those that need it as well as replenishing our stock piles for the winter months.
So that is all I have time for today BUT there are going to be daily updates and changes to the Website and live events. There is an Online Game announcement coming in the next few days and as stated, some announcements about joint projects with other groups that are out to help the communities around them!
In the meantime, if you want to get involved, tell stories, play games, run games or whatever we are continuing to build that community and you can find us here and that goes doubly for anything you need for the LARP or just for company on long locked in days. Equally If you want to join us on Patreon we are here.
As ever folks: If you need us, for any reason, let us know and if we can help in any way we will, whatever you are up against.
In the meantime have a Foxes and Crows week people, we look forward to seeing a whole bunch of you at the online game and bumping into even more of you, online, between now and then.
Take Care of Each Other
Stephen and the RoC Core Team x
