Greetings wonderfolk of the Larping World!
The week has passed and we are at Monday again, although time seems to have lost any meaning as a construct, so I assume: I hope that this message finds you in fine form, fetlock and fettle and that you have had the best weekend wherever you were and whatever you are doing. We, at RoC, have been moving on and on and have had a very busy time finishing off the first quarter of the year but before we get into that:
The ongoing thanks of all of the ROC Core Team and surrounding members of the emergency services for all of the work that you, as highly skilled and trained folk, to keep us all going during these difficult days. It is beyond appreciated and speaking for just me you are more than loved. I wish there was more that we could do to assist you but we continue to offer the space online to chill with peeps, the Online Game and the rest of the bits and bobs that we have, for you, it’s all on us.
Meanwhile on RoC!
The Online Game

We ran an incredible build up to the online finale of the game, thrills, chills and all the classics were on board as the players doubled down against their enemies and unbelievably steered themselves into an incredible finale, which will be taking place on Wednesday. When that’s done we will, at the end of the week, release the new plans for the Online side of the game and what we intend to achieve with them.
In the short term we will be switching to open games that run over the course of a morning and afternoon in one or two parts that will be open to bookees now that we know that we have a format that really works. RoCOnline is something that we are REALLY pleased with in playtesting in the finale but that we have a lot more that we want to achieve in the next one.
The System
We have achieved a lot in the first quarter of the year through prep for the new system and games in the woods, the online game, the community through gaming, the community through outreach and awareness, through workshops and just general support. We have evolved tremendously in the last twelve months and as this quarter ended we moved into planning for the next.
At the beginning of April we will kick off the whole program of upcoming events and programs that we will be offering, and the changes to how we run Patreon and such will be put forward. To support any changes we are looking for a few people to help out as officers and staff with the usual rewards along the shining stars route.

If you want to know why? Rising of Chaos is dedicated to inspiring creativity in its community, through LARP and more. We use our community to build, support and motivate each other to make positive changes in the world, and teach others how to use their skills to their best advantage.
If you want to help we are looking for senior positions with the following are available and we are looking for around 10 hours a week input at most:
- Online and Woodland Event Management
- Site, Props and Kit Officers
- Discord Awareness and Workshops Officers
- Sustainability Officer
Beyond that if you just want to help out here and there you can volunteer for any of the following teams that are in need of support and here and there.
- Development Council – Looking at and helping to develop rules as they needs be
- Plot and Character – Looking at developing main and personal plot
- Storytelling and Crew Team – The event running team
- Social Events Team – Discord – Organising the RPG’s, Tabletops, video games etc
- Awareness Team – Discord – Organising workshops and interviews for the system
- Admin Team – Generally helping out with the running of RoC
- Media Team – Helping to run the Media and Website side of things
If any of that interests you give us a prod at info@risingofchaos.com and let us know what you want to do and we’ll send you what you need to know.
The Community
This week we finished the RoC league for Formula De and, yes, we are going to announce the next Sunday board gaming soon. But for now here’s the results of that excitement:

We are running Cthulhu again this week although we had to cancel the Rifts game last week due to ref illness. We are all looking forward to getting that back up and running next Monday! If you want to be involved in any of the upcoming games or even run them here are the sign up sheets:
Again, we are still looking at doing actual LARPing, should it be allowed, this year. We have an intentions form here – so please do fill it out and let us know what, broadly speaking, you think you would like to see from us as we build live events once again.
The Discord offices are open all day so if you want to come in Monday to Friday just for company or to chat LARPing, board games and the like we’re in voice most of the time. The RPG’s, video games and so forth are on a lot: We are here to give you some level of company if you need it.
Remember if you want to get involved, tell stories, play games, run games or whatever we are continuing to build that community and you can find us here and that goes doubly for anything you need for the LARP or just for company on long locked in days. Equally If you want to join us on Patreon we are here.
As ever folks: If you need us, for any reason, let us know and if we can help in any way we will, whatever you are up against.
In the meantime have a Foxes and Crows week people, we look forward to seeing a whole bunch of you at the online game and bumping into even more of you, online, between now and then.
Take Care of Each Other
Much Love,
Stephen and the RoC Core Team x
