Order Choices

Join one of the following orders to gain their benefits

Kashan

Core Word – Destruction
Support Words: Fearlessness, Might, Battle and Orders

Predetermined Spells

Name: Flaming Brand
Magnitude:
1
Word: Control
Description:
There are few symbols of power more potent than a blade burning with unnatural flame. The Kashan are famed for their wielding of such blades, and there is not a soul amongst their number who cannot call forth the power of fire to lend potency to their words and deeds alike.
Effect: The blade touched may call ‘Flaming’ for three blows before it must be recharged by the Vorokian.

Name: The Unbarred Door
Magnitude:
2
Word: Destruction
Description:
It is an unwise adversary who attempts to lock and bar their door from the passage of the Kashan. Calling upon the flames to which they are bound, wood will burn and metal melt before the portal is forcefully opened.
Effect: The Vorokian may destroy any mundane door and render it useless.

Trayvarn

Core Word – Messages
Support Words: Language, Diplomacy, Enigmas and Secrets

Predetermined Spells

Name: Eternal Flame
Magnitude:
1
Word: Control
Description:
Fire can be fed from the heart of the Zaek Haqire better than from any mundane fuel. By binding their power to a source of flame, be it a campfire, lantern or burning cottage, the Sourceror can keep it alight far beyond its natural spell. The Trayvarn value this highly as their travels demand many campfires and torches be lit to light their way.
Effect: The ensorceled fire will burn for 12 hours or until the effect is dispelled (or reapplied).

Name: The Speaking Flame
Magnitude:
2
Word: Messages
Description:
Outsiders often wonder how it is that the Trayvarn are able to pass word so quickly to one another. This invocation is the answer – with it, a note that is tossed into one flame will reappear from another known to the Vorokian, allowing reports to be passed through one fire to the next.
Effect: A note is passed from one fire to another.

Voilion

Core Word – Crafting
Support Words: Artifice, Lores, Power and Development

Predetermined Spells

Name: The Artificer’s Eye
Magnitude:
1
Word: Control
Description:
If one is to learn how to craft artifice one must first learn how to quantify the power bound within it. This simple incantation allows a general idea of the Words or purpose bound into artifice which they might handle, so long as it is Sourcerous in nature.
Effect: The Vorokian gains insight into any Source magic imbued into an item.

Name: Heart of Power
Magnitude:
2
Word: Crafting
Description:
Though it is a dangerous, reckless and foolhardy thing to do, there are times when a Vorokian must bind their own power directly to that of an item in order to force it to function one last time. Substituting one’s own power for that of Artifice is no mean feat, and one which can cause extreme danger, but it is nevertheless a trick that most of Volion’s ilk learn.
Effect: The Vorokian draws a number of Backlash cards at a Magnitude determined by the Ref. Once these have been fully resolved they are able to utilise a piece of expended Artifice once before it burns into useless slag.

Korst

Core Word – Summoning
Support Words – Cultures, Trade, Nobility and LoresDevelopment

Predetermined Spells

Name: Brand of Power
Magnitude:
1
Word: Control
Description:
Those who would wield power must first speak of their right to hold it. Through means of this incantation, a Vorokian may imbue their symbol with a magical expression of their casting lineage; the oaths they have sworn to their teachers, instructors, and the sponsors of their Sourcerous arts which is visible to all those who have the sight to see it.
Effect: The Vorokian imbues a badge with their power. This may influence the reaction of some NPCs to their presence.

Name: Audience with the House
Guild:
The Korst Chapter
Magnitude:
2
Word: Summoning
Description:
Calling upon the names of those to whom the Vorokian is pacted, they might request an answer to a single question from their House or from a particular Vorokian that they have met previously. The Vorokian in question is under no obligation to answer, but the House is generally positively predisposed towards those whom are pacted to it and whilst they are not omniscient their knowledge runs deep.
Effect: The Vorokian may ask one question and the ref will supply an answer.
