Individual Skills
The below skills are all categorised as ‘individual skills’ – those which augment or enhance a character’s ability to interact with the world at a base level, whether that means allowing them to redraw skill checks or withstand more blows from their enemies!
All characters begin with 3 or 4 Wound Levels, depending on their archetype, which provide their basic Hits.
The amount of times each skill can be purchased will vary based on your archetype. Refer to your OCS and ensure that you do not have more purchases than the ‘Max Buy’ column!
Weapons and Armour
You may spend the listed Endeavour to allow you use/wear any of the listed items in the grouping that you have paid for. When utilising them you gain the listed benefit
Armour Skills
Partial Armour
EDV: 0
Availability: Tier 1+
Grants – Draw 2 vs Severity 2
Light Armour
EDV: 2
Availability: Tier 1+
Grants –Draw 2 vs Severity 3
Medium Armour
EDV: 3
Availability: Tier 1+
Grants –Draw 2 vs Severity 4 and ignores the drop of one Health Bar
Heavy Armour
EDV: 4
Availability: Tier 1+
Grants –Draw 2 vs Severity 5 and ignores the drop of one Health Bar
Field Armour
EDV: 5
Availability: Tier 1+
Grants –Draw 2 vs Severity 6, +1 Hit to a max of 10 and ignores the drop of one Health Bar
Helmets
EDV: 0
Availability: Tier 1+
Grants – If you are wearing a helmet of a type similar to your armour it counts as the rank above except in the case of Field where it gives +1 additional HIT to a max of 10
Shields
Small Shields

Usable Skills – Mighty, Knockback, Knockdown, Greater Disarm, Impact, Disarm, Swift, Sever.
Masters
EDV: 2
Availability: Tier 1+
Usable Skills – As Complex and Anyone using them gains 1 Tactical Point per combat.
Thrown
EDV: 1
Availability: Tier 1+
Usable Skills – Knockdown.
Bows
EDV: 3
Availability: Tier 1+
Usable Skills – Mighty, Knockback, Knockdown and Swift
Machine Propelled
EDV: 3

Tier 1+ Individual Skills
Wound Level
EDV: 2
Availability: Tier 1+
The character gains 1 additional HIT to a maximum of 10 HITS.
Dextrous
EDV: 3
Availability: Tier 1+
When drawing a Wound Card you may draw a second card and choose the better result if the Wound is Physical and Severity 2 or below. You may add +1 to the severity parameter for each buy past the first. The Wound Cards Superficial – 0 and Light Wound- 1 cannot be affected by Armour or skills and are always taken.
Fitness Training
EDV: 2
Availability: Tier 1+
Reduces the amount of time a character is debilitated or immobilised by an effect by 10 seconds to a minimum of 10 seconds.
Hardy Vigour
EDV: 2
Availability: Tier 1+
Your character now adds +1 Suit to all Chirurgery checks made on them OR they halve the printed time on any Wound before any other alterations are made to that time. Choose which at the time the skill is purchased.
Mystic Resilience
EDV: 3
Availability: Tier 1+
When drawing a Wound Card you may draw a second card and choose the better result if the Wound is Mystical and Severity 2 or below. You may add +1 to the severity parameter for each buy past the first. The Wound Cards Superficial – 0 and Light Wound- 1 cannot be affected by skills and are always taken.
Redraw
EDV: 3
Availability: Tier 1+
Once per scene a character may immediately draw another card, accepting whatever the result might be. A Critical Failure cannot be redrawn.
THIS SKILL ONLY AFFECTS SKILL DRAWS.
Refocus
EDV: 3
Availability: Tier 1+
Once per scene a character who fails ANY SKILL check may spend 30 seconds roleplaying, thinking it over and working out what they did wrong and try that sheet from the beginning again. Some cards and sheets deny the use of Refocus.
Resilience
EDV: 1
Availability: Tier 1+
Increases a character’s death count by 10 seconds to a maximum of 60 seconds.
Stamina
EDV: 1
Availability: Tier 1+
Increases a character’s incapacitated count by 10 seconds to a maximum of 60 seconds.
Sturdy
EDV: 2
Availability: Tier 1+
If the character is Winded by a physical blow or spell effect it lasts only an instant.

Tier 2+ Individual Skills
Team Leader
EDV: 2
Availability: Tier 2+
The character may provide brief instruction to an unskilled character to allow them to interact with a group feat sheet and provide +1 suit. Each purchase past the first increases the number of characters who may be supervised by 1.
Tough
EDV: 3
Availability: Tier 2+
The character now takes 1 point of damage from Mighty blows and spell effects.
Tank
EDV: 1
Availability: Tier 2+
The character gains +10 seconds to their death and incapacitated counts whilst wearing armour.

Tier 3+ Individual Skills
A Well-Trained Mind
EDV: 4
Availability: Tier 3+
The character ignores one point of penalties when dealing with feat sheets.
Very Tough
EDV: 3
Availability: Tier 3+
The character only takes 1 point of damage from Giant blows or spell effects.
Tier 4+ Individual Skills
Awesome Leader
EDV: 3
Availability: Tier 4+
Prerequisites: Team Leader 2+
The character increases the amount of suits added by those they instruct by 1.
Tier 5 Individual Skills
Inspirational
EDV: 5
Availability: Tier 5
The character is no longer effected by fear effects of any sort and once per day those who are spoken with calmingly for 10 seconds or more are immune for one scene.
Living Legend
EDV: 5
Availability: Tier 5
The character replaces one of their Black ‘Face Cards’ with a Red ‘Face Card’.
