Hello Fine and Fantastic Folk of the world

We hope that this message finds you in fine form, fetlock and fettle and that you had the best week that you could wherever you were and whatever you were doing. Another busy week happened at RoC, we worked hard and furthered our plans for the next half of the year, we were mainly directed to event one but we have got so much more going on!

To begin with, we will carry on offering our biggest and most amazing thanks to the emergency services that are fighting for us on the front line and equally to remind them that they are welcome to the free spaces that we provide for them to games and the priority booking that we offer!

Now let’s take a look at what we have been up to with RoC…

First off – Welcome on board to even more new people: It has been thoroughly enjoyable doing your character backgrounds through Discord, it’s a great way to get you into our thoughts and our plot into your heads. Equally thank you to the new Patreons and members of the various teams, welcome on board, it is a pleasure to have the system growing like it is.

If you are new and yet to book on or are looking at the event after and need some info then the following page has been lovingly crafted to give you some knowledge for the game and to get you started.

Daer Akmir – The Continent

We also offer full on character creation and system orientation for narrative and the like on Discord.

Next up! Prep for the first event is moving forward apace and we are almost out of tickets for both players and crew. We will be having a second game on the 31st of July that we will be posting as soon as we get through this week and make sure that we still remember how to run games. At the time of this writing there are only 2 player tickets left so get booking if you intend to come along!

The Abyss – Book your Tickets!

You may have also noted that we are having Gary, live on site, telling stories on the Friday night before the game starts. We’ll be providing real fire, shelter, comfort and wonderful tales, grub and company. We have had a LOT of people asking to turn up in the evening and we will have an answer for you today seeing as all of the crew will be there for weekend set up and a host of the camping players along with the Patreons. It is likely that we will throw up a Facebook event page for any extras and then make an announcement later in the week: Gary tends to sell out a venue!

Beyond that we are still go go go on numerous other projects:

  • The next Kit Fayre is being planned and we will be announcing news on that next week
  • We are off tomorrow to go and see the wonderful Mister Cordory and pick up some props from him and we will also be picking up the Legends of Larp plan again.
  • The wonderful Ross is picking up a project with us that will lend itself to repairing and repurposing old larp kit and weapons that will include an open workshop, how to videos and much more.
  • The next event is also being produced and will be announced after this weekend

We have also been approached and are in talks with some professional battlers to come and show off their skills arena style and also workshop fighting of many techniques that can be applied to our grandiose style of LARP fighting.

Beyond that the rest of the project unfolds apace, we’ll have lots more to say on that after this weekends antics but for now we will point to:

  • More developments on the land ownership front
  • Patreon Updates
  • Discord Changes
  • Twitch and game updates
  • More space on the counselling program.

Remember if you want to get involved, tell stories, play games, run games or whatever we are continuing to build that community and you can find us here and that goes doubly for anything you need for the LARP or just for company on long locked in days. Equally If you want to join us on Patreon we are here.

As ever folks: If you need us, for any reason, let us know and if we can help in any way we will, whatever you are up against.

In the meantime have a Foxes and Crows week people, we look forward to seeing a whole bunch of you at the online game and bumping into even more of you, online, between now and then.

Take Care of Each Other

Much Love,

Stephen and the RoC Core Team x
