At the time of the assassination the role was held by Arvel Kane, Priest of Terref. Arvel was a Human Priest and a well known face, he spent much of his time moving between his parishes exchanging wealth for stories and keeping the lifeblood of the people moving and save. The last was seen of him three bolts protruded from his chest.
